Samsung is venturing into the tablet arena with an Android-based light-weight and stylish tablet, which has been named the Samsung P1000 GALAXY Tab.

Samsung Galaxy Tab includes a host of features which makes it a very compelling device. The remarkable 7 inch TFT touch screen LCD with 1024 x 600 pixel resolution of GALAXY Tab allows the users to enjoy the multimedia content and provides a great web-browsing experience while on the move. The Galaxy Tab supports Adobe Flash Player 10.1 and plays the DivX, Xvid, MPEG-4, H.263 and H.264 video formats. It also plays 1080p high-definition video.

Samsung Galaxy Tab features a 3 Mega Pixels camera with autofocus and LED flash at the rear for capturing still images and videos which can be edited and shared. It also includes a 1.3 Mega Pixels front camera for making video calls.

Another highlight of Samsung Galaxy Tab is its telephony feature. It can be used to make voice calls, video calls, email, SMS, MMS. Samsung P1000 Galaxy Tab comes with different connectivity options such as 3G HSPA, Wi-Fi 802.11 n and Bluetooth 3.0. The tablet is equipped with a host of other features like TouchWiz UI, Multi-touch input method, accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, Three-axis gyro sensor, Touch-sensitive controls, Proximity sensor for auto turn-off and Swype text input.

For high performance, this multifaceted device is powered by a Cortex A8 1.0 GHz application processor with a PowerVR SGX540 graphics chip and 512 MB RAM.
